On this scenic walking tour we will travel through time to explore the story of Lough Swilly and Fort Dunree.
Join us on a fascinating journey from the end of the last Ice Age to the arrival of the first inhabitants, to Dunree becoming the reputed royal seat of the McLaughlin Clan and a site of strategic and defensive importance during the Napoleonic, First and Second World Wars.
Gain an insight into the local flora and fauna in a truly wild and unforgettable location.
Admission to the Fort is included.

Comfortable shoes and a waterproof coat and a warm layer should the weather turn. Don’t forget your camera! This walk includes a path with steep steps which may be slippery in places.
This route can be altered to be disability friendly.
