This authentic hiking experience will provide a fascinating insight into this unique and primeval landscape.

As we journey through time, we will explore how the bog (or peatland) was formed, its myths and legends, an ancient monastic site; traditional turf cutting as well as the unique biodiversity of the bog and its role in the fight against climate change.

We will also see green energy in action as we ramble through this dramatic landscape.

Our lunch stop (morning tours) or snack break (afternoon tours) will be upon a hilltop with panoramic views of Lough Swilly and West Donegal.
